direct mode 好似是 by pass core audio,你其它 setting 是點呢？

右面的顯示,是否現時 DAC ( Audirvana Plus/ eXD ) 處理的模式? 它顯示 24bits，不是 16bits
這個問題,我見外國網站都有人問，但未有人有答案。

唔好update 去itunes 10.7, 好有問題，之前10.6時加嘅歌（add files to iTunes)認唔到，一選歌個A+就自己quit, 新加個D(version 10.7 iTunes) 就無問題。

點播以前加的DSD file, 當然係DSD直出，個A+會quit!

可能要 delete 番個 Proxy File, 重新 add 過。

對於我的提問，今日收到Audirvana 回覆，內容如下

This means your DAC (as 98% on the market) accepts only 24bit data on its USB input. This has no consequence on the sound quality as Audirvana Plus only adds 8 zeros to make 24bit out of 16bit. So the audio signal information remains the same, and your DAC then continues to handle the same 16bit data internally when doing the conversion to analog.

as i said, it's still 16-bit.
look at it this way, when you have a bottle of 1 liter, you can of coz use it to handle 300cc, right?

to my question

1. I know that only add bit in the front ( 16bits > 24bits ) will not make sound better
2. Direct mode and Integer mode make me imagine computer will not change original data
     (include add bit)
3. I don't know most DAC will only accept 24 bits data

That is why I raise this question
